skynyrd at jones beach
Lynyrd Skynyrd delivered a remarkable performance, exuding high energy and a vibrant atmosphere. The issue arose with the lineup of opening acts, starting with a band from Mississippi that played for thirty minutes. They were decent. Following them was the Atlanta Rhythm Section, also playing for around thirty minutes. Lastly, the unbearable Peter Wolfe came on for an excruciating hour. He was terrible, and the audience was desperate for his set to end, but his loud performance drowned out their pleas. It is strongly recommended to attend a Lynyrd Skynyrd concert, as they never fail to impress. However, if Don McMillan is set to open, consider arriving late. The excessive downtime between acts due to equipment removal and setup can be tedious. This might be the final opportunity to catch Skynyrd in concert, so make sure not to miss out.
